Jinhua in Zhejiang province unveiled its 2026 economic policy framework at a news conference on March 11, outlining eight policy packages and four support lists.

The eight policy packages target key areas: technological innovation, key industrial chains, the service sector, international land ports and transport hubs, domestic demand and opening-up, effective investment, rural vitalization and urban-rural integration, and public welfare.

The four support lists cover fiscal and financial policies, natural resources, energy, and talent.

Key initiatives include promoting AI-driven industrial development with a target of 20 billion yuan ($2.91 billion) in core AI industry revenue, further advancing the city's two major attractions — Hengdian World Studios and Yiwu International Trade Market — and creating over 60,000 jobs for key groups and 100,000 new urban jobs.

Efforts will be made to enhance the Jinhua International Land Port and the China-Europe Freight Train Assembly Center and maintain a leading position in train operations. Jinhua will also boost multimodal transport, with sea-rail shipments projected to exceed 500,000 twenty-foot equivalent units.

The city will work to expand its markets, planning to organize more than 6,000 enterprises to explore overseas opportunities and to support over 100 key exhibitions. It also plans to host more than 10 large-scale concerts, 10 national sports events, and over 1,100 fitness-for-all events this year.
