More than 10,000 vehicles made in Taizhou, Zhejiang province, have been shipped overseas by rail via Toumen Port station as of Oct 24, according to Jinwen Railway, part of Zhejiang Communications Investment Group.
Located next to Geely's Linhai facility, the station allows vehicles to be driven directly from the factory to the rail yard for loading, reducing logistics costs. Dedicated vehicle trains have become an important export route for new energy vehicles transported by rail to coastal ports. More than 10,000 vehicles have been shipped through the station to more than 20 countries and regions.
Overseas demand for Taizhou-made passenger cars has doubled this year. To meet shipping needs, Jinwen Railway works with China Railway Special Cargo Logistics and client companies to develop tailored transport plans covering vehicle entry, loading and securing, and shipping documents. These arrangements help ensure trains depart on time and connect with vessel schedules.
The station's average daily loading capacity now exceeds 240 vehicles. Dedicated trains will continue operating regularly to support local businesses and the export of Taizhou-made products.
