From relics to living museum: millennia-old heritage revives in Deqing

Amid the scenery of ancient bridges over flowing waters, white walls and black tiles—the very essence of Jiangnan—visitors can experience dragon-kiln porcelain firing, tea ceremonies, rice and mulberry farming, pearl harvesting and more. Ziad, a tourist from Monaco, visited "Source of Jiangnan" Cultural Heritage Park in Deqing, Huzhou, Zhejiang province. Guided by the “living museum” concept, the park transforms archaeological sites into an experiential cultural gene bank, pioneering a new approach to cultural heritage preservation.
