More than 6,000 donated items from Zhili town in Wuxing district, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, have been sent to support children in the flood-affected Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

At the China Childrenswear City in Zhili, a leading hub for the manufacturing of childrenswear in China, volunteers sorted and loaded newly donated childrenswear, quilts, slippers, and other daily necessities. The supplies were donated by local childrenswear businesses.

The donation drive was initiated by Huang Chuanzhi, head of a local livestreaming e-commerce training base, after he received a request for help from a trainee in Guangxi on July 9. He shared the information online, prompting businesses, friends, and residents to join the effort. He also purchased additional supplies, including summer quilts, to meet local needs.

The donated items include childrenswear in various sizes and for different age groups, as well as bedding and footwear. Huang coordinated with relevant authorities in Guangxi on receiving and distributing the supplies to ensure they reach affected areas.

The campaign has since drawn wider participation, with donors from Henan, Anhui, Liaoning provinces, and other regions contacting Huang to contribute. More supplies are being collected and will be sent to Guangxi in batches.
