The 37-kilometer extension runs through Wenling and Yuhuan in Taizhou, East China's Zhejiang province, with a design speed of 350 km per hour. It includes three stations: the rebuilt Wenling Station and two newly built stations, Wenlingxi Station and Yuhuan Station.

The first trial train departed Wenling Station at 10:15 am for Yuhuan Station to conduct timetable testing. Over the next month, the trial will include timetable verification, fault simulations, emergency drills, and station operation tests to ensure the line is ready for commercial service. The railway is expected to open by the end of July.
