Quzhou in East China's Zhejiang province hosted an international procurement matchmaking event from June 4 to 5, drawing over 40 buyers from 18 countries, including the United States, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Uganda, as well as local enterprises in home textiles, outdoor products, and hardware tools.
To date, more than 60 local companies have reached purchase agreements with over 10 international buyers.

For Quzhou's businesses, this event was a unique chance to access overseas markets directly. Many companies turned the venue into a temporary trade fair, showcasing samples to attract buyers.
"This event aimed to create an open platform to showcase Quzhou's supply chain and establish long-term cooperation," said Liu Xierong, president of the Quzhou Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
In 2025, Quzhou's foreign trade totaled 85.8 billion yuan ($12.67 billion), up 9.4 percent from the previous year, with exports reaching 62.2 billion yuan, a 15.3 percent increase. In the first quarter of 2026, foreign trade hit 23.4 billion yuan, a 28 percent year-on-year rise, with exports up 40.2 percent.
