Sofa fabric expo connects Haining manufacturers with global buyers

The first Haining International High-end Sofa Fabric Expo opened on June 6 in Xucun town, Haining, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, bringing together domestic and overseas buyers to explore new products and sourcing opportunities in the upholstery fabric sector.

Held over three days, the event highlights Haining's growing role in China's mid- to high-end sofa fabric industry. Home textile products from Haining account for about 35 percent of the domestic market and are sold to more than 40 countries and regions. Building on this foundation, the new expo focuses on the growing demand for premium sofa fabrics and aims to strengthen Haining's position in the industry's higher-end segment.

Covering 5,000 square meters, the exhibition features product launches, trend displays, and sourcing activities, with an online exhibition platform on June 9 allowing buyers to browse products and connect directly with manufacturers.

The event has attracted strong interest from both domestic and international buyers. Haining Mingrenju Textile showcased over 100 new sofa fabric designs, with many exhibitors reporting steady inquiries and business discussions on opening day.

Yu Guoshang, a purchaser from Jiangxi province, said the exhibition made it easier to identify suitable suppliers and compare products in one location, reducing sourcing time and costs.
