Pujiang grapes reach Malaysian markets

A batch of 200 kilograms of Kyoho grapes from Liangsong Family Farm in Pujiang county, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia on July 26, and was later sold in a local supermarket. This marked the first export order of Pujiang grapes this year.

The wholesale price of these grapes is 40 yuan (around $6) per kg, double the local retail price in Pujiang. Liangsong Family Farm, the first grape export-certified base in Zhejiang, has extensive export experience.

Owner Chen Qingsong attributes their success in securing the Malaysian order to the consistent quality of Pujiang grapes. "If market feedback is positive, we will sign long-term cooperation agreements with local merchants," he added.

Pujiang is famed as the "Hometown of Kyoho Grapes" in China, thanks to its unique climate and sandy soil, which produce flavorful, aromatic grapes. As a national geographical indication product, Pujiang grapes benefit from a standardized cultivation system, consistently delivering high-quality fruit.

In the past seven years, these grapes have entered markets in Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and South Korea.

The Pujiang county bureau of agriculture and rural affairs promotes standardized planting and eco-friendly practices to ensure export quality. Jinhua Customs offers a "green channel" for exports, with 24/7 clearance and online issuance of inspection certificates, ensuring zero-delay export processing.
