Lishui's H1 GDP growth ranks second in Zhejiang

According to the municipal bureau of statistics of Lishui, the city's GDP reached 114.87 billion yuan ($16.97 billion) in the first half of this year, growing 6.4 percent year-on-year at constant prices. The growth rate ranked second in Zhejiang province and has remained among the top three for five consecutive quarters.

The primary industry added 5.56 billion yuan, up 6.0 percent; the secondary industry added 40.58 billion yuan, up 6.7 percent, with emerging industries gaining momentum; and the tertiary industry reached 68.73 billion yuan, up 6.3 percent, as the modern service system continued to improve.

Value-added output of industrial enterprises above designated size rose 10.6 percent, driven by accelerated industrial transformation. Equipment manufacturing and digital economy core manufacturing posted increases of 14.1 percent and 13.8 percent, respectively. Electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing grew by 26.7 percent, while automobile manufacturing grew by 23.8 percent.

The service sector accounted for 58.4 percent of the city's economic growth. Notable gains were seen in information transmission, software and IT services, transport, warehousing and postal services, accommodation and catering, and finance.

Exports totaled 22.22 billion yuan, up 9.4 percent, including 12.26 billion yuan to countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, a 17.1 percent increase. Mechanical and electrical products, accounting for 53.0 percent of total exports, rose 20.5 percent.

In the first half of the year, the per capita disposable income of all residents reached 30,625 yuan, up 5.4 percent. Urban residents' per capita disposable income was 38,314 yuan, up 4.8 percent, while that of rural residents was 18,920 yuan, up 5.6 percent, narrowing the urban-rural income gap.
