The Jiaxing-Czech Business Matching Conference was held on March 18 in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, inviting representatives from local government departments, industry associations, and enterprises from both China and the Czech Republic.
A strategic cooperation framework agreement was signed between the Central and Eastern European Cultural and Economic Research Center of Jiaxing University and the Jiaxing Opening-up Service Center, with both parties aiming to enhance cultural and economic exchanges by utilizing the advantages of the university's academic research and the government service center's platform, helping local businesses and personnel expand into Central and Eastern European markets.
During his keynote speech, Jan Zapletal, chief of the Shanghai branch of the Czech Trade Office, introduced the Czech Republic's business environment, future collaboration opportunities, and services, with the goal of enhancing connection between Jiaxing's industrial strengths and the Czech Republic's strategic location, promoting a win-win collaboration model in technology, market expansion, and complementary capacities.
Participants also discussed cooperation opportunities in investment, registration for Czech SMEs, land policies, medical optics, photovoltaic and energy storage, electric vehicle charging stations, and industrial automation. Czech representatives shared detailed information on market access, investment environment, industry policies, and cooperation paths, offering practical advice on market research, compliance certification, and local partnerships.
