The salon was held in the Shaoxing Museum instead of the classroom, where international students were organized to experience Shaoxing's intangible cultural heritage.
The salon invited experts to share insights on topics such as intangible heritage preservation and international cultural dissemination by the youths.
International students participated in discussions about Shaoxing's culture, gaining a deeper understanding of the protection and value of intangible cultural heritage.
During the event, international students shared their experiences and interpretations of Shaoxing cultural elements such as rice wine, and expressed their intent to promote Shaoxing's intangible cultural heritage overseas through social media.
The college said that the collaboration between the school and the museum represented an innovative approach to experiential learning for international students.
The university plans to continue organizing such activities to guide international students in transitioning from cultural bystanders to advocates, enhancing their cross-cultural communication skills and promoting Shaoxing's intangible cultural heritage globally.
