Celebrating She ethnic traditions in Jinhua's Yanglong village

Yanglong village in Andi town, Wucheng district, Jinhua, Zhejiang province, came alive on April 12 with celebrations for the Sanyuesan Festival of the She ethnic group.

The event showcased a rich tapestry of traditional customs, including a tea ceremony, melodious folk songs, dynamic bamboo pole dancing, and the enticing aroma of freshly made mochi — glutinous rice cakes.

Dressed in their festive attire, members of the She ethnic group warmly welcomed guests from all over with these cherished folk traditions.

In recent years, Andi town has promoted the integration of ethnic culture and ecological tourism, transforming unique cultural elements such as She songs, dances, and cuisine into cultural tourism resources. This approach has not only increased local villagers' incomes but also enhanced the region's overall appeal.
