The China (Wenzhou)-Austria Economic and Trade Cooperation Matchmaking Conference, organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Wenzhou Committee, brought together representatives from over 40 companies on Aug 29 in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province.

The Austrian delegation, led by Andre Stolzlechner, vice-chairman of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, comprised 23 members from sectors such as AI, finance, law, and tourism, marking the largest Austrian trade mission to Wenzhou in recent years.

Since 2014, Wenzhou has developed strong ties with Austria, collaborating in trade, technology, and cultural education, with this year marking the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Austria.

Wenzhou's departments highlighted the city's modern industrial system and investment opportunities, while the CCPIT Wenzhou Committee issued an initiative to deepen cooperation in industrial and supply chains.

The CCPIT Wenzhou Committee signed friendly cooperation framework agreements with the Vienna Chamber of Commerce and Social Democratic Economic Association of Austria, establishing a regular exchange mechanism.

The Austrian delegation also toured local enterprises and cultural sites, experiencing Wenzhou's industrial and cultural vitality. Stolzlechner said the visit gave him insight into Wenzhou's industrial strength and investment environment, as he expressed hope for more cooperation between enterprises from both sides.
