Tongxiang company becomes global leader in door supply for major retailers

Jiaxing Anthony Technical Glass, a specialized and innovative enterprise in Tongxiang Economic Development Zone, has secured a leading position in the global niche market for commercial freezer glass doors, with its products supplied to major supermarket chains including Sam's Club and Costco.

The company's products undergo 300,000 opening-and-closing durability tests and simulations under various climate conditions. To address issues like fogging and high energy consumption in freezer doors, the company has developed a three-layer glass structure and a self-developed intelligent control system, achieving 60 percent energy savings and winning a silver award at Panasonic's ECOVC program.

The company invests 10 to 20 million yuan ($1.49 to $2.98 million) in research and development each year and has established a national-level laboratory. It has launched new products with thinner designs, easier opening, and slower-closing functions.

With an annual output of about 50,000 high-end freezer doors, the company exports to more than 10 countries. Its focus on technological advancement rather than short-term growth reflects the development of specialized, innovative enterprises in Tongxiang — small in scale yet strong in expertise.
