Tongxiang luggage maker gains global popularity

Jiaxing Tianhui Tourism Supplies, a luggage manufacturer in Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, is producing about 600,000 suitcases annually, with products sold in the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Singapore.

The company has built its reputation on combining design and functionality, offering products for younger consumers and family-sized sets ranging from minimalist styles to colorful models, with its recently launched series already selling more than 10,000 units, reflecting strong market demand.

The company focuses on practical details: side-opening compartments for easy access to essentials, vacuum compression sections that expand storage space by about 25 percent, built-in tracking compartments that connect to mobile devices, soft handles, USB charging ports, and cup holders.

One of its long-running products, inspired by vintage luggage design, has sold over 100,000 units in nearly a decade and remains popular in overseas markets, particularly in Europe, with recent orders from UK clients exceeding 6,000 units.

Last year, the company began exploring domestic sales through livestreaming platforms, selling over 1,000 units within a month.
