Longyou county in Quzhou, Zhejiang province, is rapidly becoming a hub for humanoid robot manufacturing, with over 85 percent of core components now produced locally. This milestone was highlighted at the local government's annual "first meeting of Chinese New Year" on Feb 26.
In 2025, Longyou's humanoid robot industry scale surpassed 7 billion yuan ($1.02 billion), with local production now encompassing essential parts such as motors, reducers, and sensors, enabling the complete assembly of humanoid robots within the county.

In October 2024, Longyou hosted the Embodied Intelligence Industry Innovative Development Conference, unveiling the "Youlong No 1" humanoid robot. Within a year, the county had attracted numerous embodied intelligence firms and showcased the "Qinglong Lite" humanoid robot at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference.
Longyou's humanoid robot industry is supported by a collaborative ecosystem involving government, enterprises, and research institutions. The recent establishment of the Longyou Artificial Intelligence Development Center aims to further integrate AI infrastructure and resources, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship.
In Longyou's Xiaonanhai town, the Embodied Intelligence Robot Headquarters project, with a total investment of over 1.55 billion yuan, is progressing steadily. Once completed, the project will have an annual capacity of 20,000 robots and 200,000 vision sensors, further enhancing the industry chain.
