Quzhou in Zhejiang province recorded 14.84 billion yuan ($2.14 billion) in total foreign trade in the first two months of 2026, up 32.7 percent year-on-year, according to Quzhou Customs.
A total of 1,167 enterprises in the city reported import and export activity during the period. Exports reached 9.91 billion yuan, up 47.3 percent year-on-year, while imports rose 10.8 percent to 4.93 billion yuan. Quzhou ranked first among Zhejiang cities in export growth and second in overall foreign trade growth.
The European Union was Quzhou's largest export market in the first two months. Exports to the bloc reached 2.21 billion yuan, up 143.0 percent year-on-year and accounting for 22.3 percent of the city's total exports.
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations ranked second, with exports rising 172.8 percent to 2.04 billion yuan, representing 20.5 percent of the total.
Mechanical and electrical products remained the leading export category. Exports of such products reached 4.59 billion yuan, accounting for 46.4 percent of the city's total exports and rising 145.5 percent year-on-year. The category contributed 40.5 percentage points to overall export growth.
