Yinzhou robots go global

Robots manufactured in Ningbo's Yinzhou district are rapidly expanding into overseas markets. According to Yinzhou Customs, exports of various robots from Yinzhou exceeded 25.35 million yuan ($3.75 million) in the first half of 2026.

At the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, Ningbo-based PIA Automation demonstrated the world's first multi-robot collaborative pilot production line for automotive battery management systems (BMS). Six self-developed embodied robots worked together to complete material handling, precision assembly, and palletizing without human intervention. Operating 24/7 with a stability rate of 99.9 percent, the intelligent production line drew strong interest from buyers from Europe, the United States, Japan, and South Korea.

Yinzhou's commercial robotics sector is also gaining recognition. Zhejiang Ounitech Robotics, a local firm, has created AI-driven cleaning robots capable of detecting stains, navigating around obstacles, and switching between sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming automatically. Equipped with proprietary AI navigation and 3D environmental perception technology, these robots are suitable for shopping malls, warehouses, and office buildings and have entered markets in more than 40 countries and regions.

The global expansion of Yinzhou's robotics industry is supported by a complete local supply chain and efficient customs services, including green export channels and streamlined clearance procedures. Together, these strengths are helping "Made in Yinzhou" robots reach more international markets and reinforcing Ningbo's position as a growing hub for intelligent manufacturing.
