Lu Xun and Lee Yuksa are significant figures in the modern literary histories of China and South Korea, respectively. They met in Shanghai in June 1933. Lu Xun's literary ideas profoundly influenced Lee Yuksa, who later wrote a eulogy for Lu Xun, translated his novella My Old Home, and integrated Lu Xun's spirit into his own literary endeavors.

During the speech segment of the event, Chinese and South Korean experts discussed the intellectual exchanges between the two writers and their cultural impact. Lee Ok, Lee Yuksa’s daughter, shared details about their interactions, while Sohn Byung-hee, director of the Lee Yuksa Cultural Center in South Korea, elaborated on Lee Yuksa's critique of Lu Xun and the universal value of his poetry.
