Chinese robots are commanding global attention. On April 29, Belgium's deputy prime minister visited Deep Robotics and left with a straightforward message: "Congratulations, China." Earlier, German Chancellor Merz made a dedicated stop at Unitree Robotics. At CES, crowds stood on tiptoes just to glimpse Chinese robots in action.

The world has been watching. Now the question is: what comes next?

From May 15 to 16, the 2026 Hangzhou International Embodied Robot Scenario Application Competition will take place in Hangzhou's Xihu District. This is China's largest robotics competition — more than 150 enterprises have signed up to compete, over 50 will exhibit, and the combined total of events, exhibitions and forums exceeds 200. The organizing committee extends an open invitation to global media: come and see for yourselves.

Real tasks. Real showdowns. The competition is built around three tracks: Professional Testing, Application Scenario Challenge, and Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital. The arenas are not abstract stages — they replicate actual workplaces such as shopping malls, power stations and residential communities. The headquarters of the National Robot Testing and Assessment Center will officiate throughout, working to develop evaluation standards the entire industry can use.

From dancing to working — Chinese robots are crossing a critical threshold. This is a story about the future of embodied intelligence, and it's one the organizers hope global media will help tell.
