Jinhua hosts AI industry development conference

The 2026 AI Industry Convergence and Development Conference was held on March 14 in Jinhua, Zhejiang province, bringing together over 100 academicians, tech investors, financial executives, entrepreneurs, and representatives of local key enterprises.

Zhejiang Wondermaker Intelligent Equipment presented shoes customized through AI 3D modeling by using its latest AI-powered multi-head color-changing 3D printer. Liu Jialiang, the company's general manager and co-founder, said he received interest from supply chain enterprises and investors during the event, paving the way for deeper collaboration.

Keynote speeches were delivered by notable figures, including academicians from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the European Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters, centering on industrial intelligent systems, AI industry advancements, and unmanned aerial vehicle technologies.

Jinhua, renowned for its manufacturing sector with over 100,000 enterprises, offers fertile ground for AI applications. The city has implemented its "AI+" initiative, focusing on computational infrastructure and innovation hubs to drive AI development.

With a focus on building a competitive AI industry cluster, Jinhua's AI core industry has reached 17.57 billion yuan ($2.55 billion), a 16.2 percent increase from last year. The city aims to expand its intelligent computing power from 2,543 to 3,500 PetaFlops by 2026, in line with its ambition to exceed 20 billion yuan in AI core industry revenue.
