From St. Petersburg to Changxing: a love story on ice

Alina comes from Saint Petersburg, Russia. Driven by her love for ice and snow artistry, she traveled 9,000 kilometers to Changxing, Huzhou, in eastern China, where she performs ice skating at the Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise.

Upon arriving in Changxing, unfamiliarity was soon replaced by warmth. Her colleagues patiently taught her Chinese, while the local community organized a variety of cultural activities that helped her gradually connect with traditional Chinese culture.

Here, Alina met a sound engineer who shared her artistic passion. Their connection grew into love. Today, Alina actively embraces local life and gives back to the land that welcomed her, in her own way.
