Torch relay kicks off 15th National Games across four cities

On November 2, the torch relay for the National Games was held simultaneously in four cities-Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, Guangzhou and Shenzhen to jointly welcome the 15th edition.

A total of 200 torchbearers were involved in the relay, with 50 in each city. The torch relay launch ceremony for the 15th National Games took place at Lianhua Mountain Park in Shenzhen. Subsequently, the starting ceremonies in Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Guangzhou were held simultaneously, and the torch relay began.

After the relay, representatives from the four cities returned the torch to Guangzhou. Along the way, activities highlighted the characteristics of Lingnan culture, showcased the vitality of the Guangdong-Hong Kong SAR-Macao SAR Greater Bay Area, enhanced interaction with citizens, and created a favorable atmosphere for the whole city to welcome the National Games.

The 15th National Games will be held from November 9th to 21st, 2025. The opening ceremony will take place at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center.
