The 2025 Zhejiang Agricultural Fair concluded on Nov 25, with strong results in terms of both attendance and sales, local media outlets reported.

The expo saw brisk trading, fueled by more than 15 million yuan ($2.12 million) in consumer discounts. A total of 272,500 visitors attended, generating 322 million yuan in transactions, including 276 million yuan in on-site sales — underscoring the enduring appeal of offline exhibitions.

The online expo also proved its value, recording 45.87 million yuan in retail sales. Contracted orders reached 3.16 billion yuan, laying a solid foundation for long-term cooperation. Additionally, 459 livestream sessions contributed 21.8 million yuan in sales.

Products from other provinces also drew strong demand. Tibetan caterpillar fungus recorded 1.12 million yuan in sales, while Qinghai's delegation secured 257 million yuan in intended orders through its Qinghai Family Feast showcase.

Beyond sales, the event emphasized matchmaking and brand promotion, hosting 63 on-site events and facilitating 1,826 business connections. Reverse procurement sessions helped generate 1,081 purchase orders worth 456 million yuan in intended deals.

For the first time, the fair added an interactive experience zone featuring intangible cultural heritage demonstrations, agricultural culture exhibits, food tastings, and hands-on activities, attracting more than 12,000 participants. Five themed check-in routes and an online flavor-hunting game engaged over 20,000 visitors, effectively drawing younger consumers and expanding the reach of agricultural brands.
