A field-based tour highlighting high-quality economic development in Jiaxing was launched at Zhejiang Tsinghua Flexible Electronic Technology Research Institute in East China's Zhejiang province on April 16, with participants set to visit multiple industrial sites across the city.
The institute features an industrial embodied intelligence training center, described as the country's first multimodal sensing and data collection platform based on flexible electronics. The center plans to expand data capacity to 600,000 hours this year and 1.5 million hours next year, with long-term goals including building a national-level dataset and automated production lines.
Jiaxing's AI sector has expanded rapidly, with annual revenue reaching 76.77 billion yuan ($11.24 billion), ranking third in the province. Emerging industries such as smart wearables, connected vehicles, and industrial robotics are accelerating commercialization.
The delegation also visited Zhejiang Lante Optics in Xiuzhou district, a listed company specializing in glass aspherical lenses used in automotive imaging and lidar systems. The company recorded an output value of 1.52 billion yuan in 2025, up 43.62 percent year-on-year.
In Jiaxing Economic and Technological Development Zone, participants toured Jiu Zhou Wen Hua, a digital media firm, which focuses on the overseas distribution of short-form video content. Its app ShortMax has recorded more than 130 million downloads and reached more than 30 million monthly active users globally, supported by AI-powered multilingual production tools.
The event reflects Jiaxing's efforts to develop advanced manufacturing clusters and strengthen AI as a core growth driver, supported by computing infrastructure exceeding 85,000 petaflops.
