Huzhou has launched its "Youth Development in Rural Areas 2.0" initiative to attract over 30,000 young people to rural areas and foster 30 landmark youth entrepreneurial projects this year.

The initiative, which builds on its previous iteration, seeks to vitalize rural communities by establishing a framework with six demonstration zones and various strategic sites, creating 10 new rural youth innovation and entrepreneurship centers and 25 practice stations, and transforming unused spaces into shared work environments.

Entrepreneurial sectors will expand beyond agriculture and culture to include technology and commerce, encouraging youth engagement in emerging sectors such as embodied intelligence, the low-altitude economy, smart agriculture, digital cultural tourism, and livestreaming e-commerce.

To transform youth interests into sustainable presence and long-term success, Huzhou is offering comprehensive support, favorable policies, and plans to upgrade 6,000 youth apartments and 12 youth communities.

Benefits for young talent include loan interest subsidies and house-buying subsidies. The city will also address education and healthcare needs by organizing activities to help workers settle in and thrive.

Huzhou is also encouraging youth engagement in rural governance through the "Young Village Partners" program, which promotes cooperative entrepreneurship and shares insights into rural management, planning, and operating.
