The nine-day Year of the Horse Spring Festival holiday brought strong tourism momentum to Wenzhou, as the city recorded robust visitor growth and cultural activity.
Wenzhou received 12.63 million visits, with total tourist arrivals reaching 7.19 million, up 18.5 percent year on year, while overnight stays climbed 16.9 percent to 4.49 million. Tourism revenue reached 10.03 billion yuan ($1.46 billion), with young travelers making up more than half of all visitors. The city ranked second in Zhejiang province across total visits, overnight stays, and tourism income.

A total of 77 rated scenic attractions drew 6.58 million visits, with the most visited destinations including Nanxi River, Yandang Mountain, and Yanting scenic area.
A wide range of travel incentives supported the surge, including flight-linked ticket discounts, rail-based attraction offers, and locally tailored benefits for residents and visitors.
Across the city, festive events highlighted folk traditions, rural tourism, and community markets, while cross-sector initiatives combining culture, sports, and entertainment introduced new visitor experiences.
