Quzhou makes debut in top 50 cities for young talent attraction

Quzhou, a city in Zhejiang province, has made its debut in the top 50 cities for attracting young talent, according to the "2025 China City Ranking for Post-1995 Talent Attraction" report jointly released by Zhaopin and Zeping Macro.

All 11 cities in Zhejiang made the list's top 50, highlighting the province's strong appeal to young professionals.

Young people are the barometer of a city's vitality, reflecting its attractiveness and potential. The ranking is based on seven indicators, including talent inflow, income, innovation, and entertainment.

Quzhou climbed nine spots to 48th place, reflecting its growing appeal to young talent. The city's focus on work-life balance resonates with modern youth, aligning with Quzhou's efforts to create a livable and workable environment.

Since the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–25) period, Quzhou's young talent pool has grown significantly, with over 40,000 young graduates annually and a surge in local young doctorate holders. These talents are driving growth in digital and high-end manufacturing sectors.

In Quzhou, young talents are crafting their ideal careers. Chen Tong, a young entrepreneur, has expanded her art studio with local support, while Hebei native Ji Peiyi has found a welcoming environment for her career. Meanwhile, Zhou Yulin is revitalizing traditional crafts, blending cultural heritage with modern entrepreneurship.

Quzhou has also hosted an array of cultural activities for young people, further enhancing the city's appeal. By fostering a supportive ecosystem for young entrepreneurs and professionals, Quzhou aims to sustain its growth and dynamism.
