Private multinational enterprises in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, are strengthening the city's integration into global industrial chains, with 13 local enterprises recently named on the list of 2025 Zhejiang private multinational "leading enterprises".
These 13 enterprises have established 132 overseas entities across 36 countries and regions, forming a multi-tiered operating network that underpins Jiaxing's growing global presence.
In the first half of this year, the city recorded 80 newly filed overseas enterprises and institutions, with outbound investment filings reaching $3.74 billion, ranking first in the province.
The selected companies include resource integrators such as Huayou Cobalt and Zhenshi Holding Group, as well as technology-oriented exporters like Keeson and Hanshow. These firms are distributed across Tongxiang, Xiuzhou, Haining, and Nanhu, collectively reinforcing Jiaxing's outward-oriented economy. Huayou Cobalt's KNI project in Indonesia, jointly invested with international partners such as Ford, recorded a Chinese investment filing of $2.81 billion, the largest overseas investment in the city's history.
Innovation and intelligent manufacturing are central to this expansion, with Keeson operating smart factories with an automation rate of 70 percent and annual output exceeding 2 million smart beds, securing more than 56 percent of the North American market.
The city has supported this growth through enterprise cultivation programs, service platforms, digital tools, and risk alerts, as well as financial safeguards for overseas investment.
