A Chinese culture-themed exhibition made its debut at the 2026 Festival du Livre de Paris in France on April 17, with the Taizhou delegation from East China's Zhejiang province presenting more than 120 books and cultural products themed on Hehe culture — a regional philosophy rooted in harmony and integration.
The Festival du Livre de Paris, formerly known as the Paris Book Fair, is a major annual cultural event in France that promotes public participation and cross-cultural dialogue.
The Taizhou exhibition featured a wide range of publications, including studies on Hehe cultural concepts, poetry collections, bilingual cultural guides, and works on regional heritage.
Alongside the publications it displayed, Taizhou also presented intangible cultural heritage crafts, including wood carvings, embroidered textiles, and traditional tea utensils. These items combined traditional craftsmanship with modern design, reflecting aesthetic concepts linked to harmony and balance.
During the event, a dialogue session on cultural exchange and civilizational development was also held in Paris, gathering experts from China and France to discuss cultural interaction in the context of emerging technologies and global communication.
Taizhou will continue to promote Hehe culture through creative products and international exchanges, strengthening its role as a cultural bridge between China and the world.
