Wu Yize, a 22-year-old Chinese snooker player, clinched the World Snooker Championship 2026 in the United Kingdom, becoming the first player born in the 2000s to win the title and the second Chinese world champion, following Zhao Xintong's breakthrough victory last year as the first Asian winner of the tournament.

Thousands of miles away in Deqing county, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, Zhang Daheng, event director at Kangxi Shengshi Sports Equipment, celebrated Wu's victory. Wu is a signed player of the company.

In January, during the opening ceremony of the sixth Kangxi Shengshi Chinese Billiards Super Challenge in Deqing, Wu became a brand ambassador for the company's main product, billiard tables. At that time, he was still considered an emerging star.

Kangxi Shengshi Sports Equipment has formed a star management network, signing 27 top players, including global snooker legend Ronnie O'Sullivan, who recommended Wu.

To enhance the profile of Chinese billiards and uncover the value of Chinese players, the company, supported by the government, has been exploring a new development model focusing on manufacturing and hosting events since 2023. The 2024 Chinese Billiards Players Championship attracted 400 million online views, and its global finals featured participants from 27 countries and regions.

In May, the 2026 Huacai Billiards World Open will commence in Deqing, alongside the U16 China Youth Billiards Championship and the CBL Professional League's Moganshan venue.
