Shaoxing's Keqiao district focuses on the textile industrial chain, and has established a foreign-related legal service system. Key initiatives include launching a digitalized risk warning platform, and forming a foreign-related legal service alliance composed of universities, business associations, and service organizations.
Keqiao has also appointed foreign professionals proficient in Chinese and trade as mediators to assist in resolving foreign trade communication disputes. These measures have mitigated risks, resulting in a 15.6 percent year-on-year reduction in the incidence of foreign trade-related disputes.
To support businesses in expanding their overseas markets, the Keqiao district public security sub-bureau has identified 22 high-frequency immigration-related services for enterprises. It also provides services such as risk warning alerts and guidance on handling lawsuits linked to foreign trade. To date, they have prevented 15 such fraud cases, recovering losses of over 13 million yuan ($1.8 million) in total.
The Keqiao district market supervision administration has also established the Keqiao Overseas Intellectual Property Dispute Response Station, offering services such as risk alerts, rights protection guidance, and financial assistance for agency fees. It has conducted training sessions for 120 key enterprises, strengthening their defenses against overseas intellectual property challenges.
