The 2026 China (Puyuan) Textile and Clothing Industry Supply Chain and Knitting Equipment Expo opened on March 29 in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, drawing widespread attention from domestic and international exhibitors.

The three-day event showcases the latest advancements in knitting machinery, sewing equipment, raw materials, and computer-aided devices, demonstrating cutting-edge industry technology.

On the first day, Tongcheng Technology, based in Jiaxing, unveiled an upgraded, fully automatic computer knitting machine featuring advanced digital technology and an optimized design.

Qian Weiqiang, the company's sales director, said the machine's production efficiency had increased by 20 percent, with energy consumption reduced by 10 percent, and its stability significantly improved. The company has expanded its market to over 10 countries, including Italy, Russia, and Egypt, and now serves major domestic textile hubs such as Guangdong, Jiangsu, and Henan provinces.

Organized by the Zhejiang Wool Sweater Association, the event has become a key platform for the wool knitting industry over the past eight years. Wu Bingming, president of the association, emphasized that the expo promoted collaboration, market expansion, and the introduction of 40 international buyers, boosting the industry's global presence.
